Hello,everyone!!! Last week was another great week for Zumba with Carla Lima,great classes,great fun,great people!!!Thank you all for coming! I'm so very fortunate to have you all in my life and to be able to do what I love as a job,it's something really amazing!Thank you! Did you see the new Zumba official song and routine specially created for the Dance week in the UK? We'll start practising it from tomorrow! Can't wait LOVE it!!!!!It's called 'ES tiempo de bailar' which means 'Time to dance'. I'm sure you'll love it too! Why do you come to a ZWCL class?Is it just for the fun?Is it to loose weight?To do a good work out? Think about it and find what is your goal when you come to a class. If you're looking to loose weight,to do a good work out remember first of all to eat Eat Correctly - Do NOT starve yourself or go on any fad diet. Eat properly. Healthy proteins (chicken, fish, etc). Vegetables. Fruits. Don't come home from a class and gorge on ice cream or you will see no weight loss (and probably the opposite). However, it is good to reward yourself at times (at least a couple times a week) with a small treat.Have a chocolat before the class for example. Drink 2 litres of water per day. Do the class a minimum of twice a week,regular Zumba and at least once a week the Toning class as we all know 'resistance' training helps you to burn more calories,to tone and re shape your body,will also improve your co-ordenation which not only will help you in your daily tasks as it will help you to do the regular Zumba class,and when you come to the class follow these simple tips that will help you to achieve your goals faster: 1. Let Loose Zumba is all about having fun, and joining the party, which is hard to do if you're stiff or self-conscious! The best way to burn more calories in class is to let go, have fun, and try not to think too much. "Letting yourself go will let the calories go!”.
2. Maximize Your Arm Movement During the moves, be sure to fully extend your arms.You’ll boost your calorie burn and engage more muscles by maximizing your arm movements during class. "It's not that tricky and you can do a lot for your body by lengthening, raising, and extending with oomph."
3. Move Up and Down More “When your instructor takes you though a level change try and do it,". All that up and down movement will not only boost your burn, it will also get your glutes, hips, and thigh muscles firing even more. “Sit into your moves, bend your knees, and go up and down and all around as much as you can—level changes burn calories!"
4. Work Your Booty "There is always a lot of booty shaking in Zumba!". "Just shake it—and shake it good (to best do this, see tip #1)." ZES recommends pressing through your heels whenever you can to maximize the move’s booty shaping benefits. 5. Rock the Moves You Know So maybe you don’t have every move mastered yet, that's OK! You can still get a great workout as long as you rock the moves you’ve got! "Always accentuate the moves that you are actually comfortable with,". “Make the most out of that shimmy you love, or the salsa step you have mastered. Feel confident in adding your own flair to the movement. If you know it, show it!" Finally do a proper stretching at the end,don't leave before the class is finished and make sure to listen to my explanations how to do it and observe my movements,make sure you are doing them correctly. The stretching is one of the most important components of the class,will prevent blood pooling,will bring your muscles back to their regular lenght,will leave you relaxed after all that work out and prevent you from feeling so sore the day after. We're very pleased to announce that the Zumba Toning classes will move to the Haddon Hall and St John's church! These two new classes will start at the Haddon Hall from this coming Saturday the 19th of May and at St John's from the 18th of June. Now it will be easier fro you to do it and as you all know I absolutely LOVE 2 hours in a role! Zumba love to all of you!

Hello my dear Zumba friends!!! Hope you've enjoyed you're weekend! Another week coming up with great Zumba songs and party all week,tell me are you ready for this????It's Zumba Time!!!! From next Saturday the 19th there will be Zumba TONING class at the Haddon Hall,so we'll have at 10am as usual the regular Zumba and 11.10am Zumba TONING. Also Toning class at St John's from Monday the 18th of June after the regular 7pm class,so it will be at 8.10pm. So from this week there will be only one class every Thursday at St Hilda's church 8pm as usual. To the Toning class don't forget your toning sticks or regular dumbells max 2.5 lb,you can find a link to purchase the Zumba Toning sticks in my Class schedule page,here on my website. We've had a really great and fun week that ended yesterday with 5 hours of Zumba starting at 10am with the regular class,followed by the Toning class which I'm absolutely loving and finishing the day with 3 hours workshop. Happy Monday Zumba friends!!! Hope you've had a great weekend and recharged all the batteries for one more week of Zumba with Carla Lima! Saturday the Toning class was amazing,thank you all for being there,I'm really enjoying this class format,I truly believe and LOVE this programme,you'll see how your body will look toned and sculpted soon,if you didn't try the Toning class do so, you'll feel the difference in your body and even in the way you'll be able to better perform the regular Zumba class. Hi,Zumba lovers! Hope you've had a great time at the Zumba Toning class and that you fell in love by the program as I did! If you didn't try it yet don't waste any more time and join us in an exhilarating class! Zumba toning will tone and sculpt your body in an amazing way! Because for now we're starting with one class and only from the 3rd of May,2 classes per week the song list will be monthly,so because we're starting this song list will be for April and May 2012.Usually I publish my playlist by musical genre as in a regular Zumba class is the diversity of rhythms that predominates in the Toning is according to the muscle groups and the song pace so I publish it with the name of the artist.
